The RCX Ascender is rain and splash proof (IP 67). the battery is also an IP-67 RCX Battery. The RCX Ascender is approved under the machinery directive 2006/42/EC for lifting both people and equipment with a Working Load (WLL/SWL) of 250 kg (550 lb).
